Wild Wing Cafe Announces Location in Opelika, Ala. 

Opelika, Ala., October 4, 2017 – Wild Wing Cafe, the destination for “hot wings, cold beer and good times,” announced the opening of a new restaurant in Opelika, Ala., located at 3040 Capps Way in the Capps Landing development. A grand opening is slated for Friday, Oct. 6. The restaurant will be under the management of businessman, Sanjay Choudhury, who also owns the Whittlesey Boulevard location in Columbus, GA. 

“Our restaurant offers our guests a unique experience each time they dine,” said Choudhury. “We’re looking forward to providing a lively hangout for Opelika and Auburn residents to let loose, and enjoy award-winning food and music with family and friends.” 

The new space, approximately 9,500 sq. ft., will employ 110 people and feature 52 65-in flat-screen TVs, two jumbo projection screens, a private party room for up to 50 people, outdoor patio, a bar boasting more than 30 taps, entertainment stage and an expansive family dining room. The extensive menu will offer Wild Wing Cafe’s traditional offerings as well as fan favorites, including fresh, hormone-free chicken wings, hand-breaded nuggets, 100% Angus burgers and awesome salads, as well as their 33 made-from-scratch sauces to suit all palates. 

To further enhance the dining experience, live music will remain a consistent source of entertainment throughout the week welcoming various rock genres, as well as trivia/bingo nights, and live-band karaoke. 

“Our goal is to be a catalyst of the local scene by supporting local bands and breweries, as well as investing in the Opelika community. We will have live entertainment seven days a week on our Wild Wing Cafe stage, and plan to be integrally involved by sponsoring local schools, churches, and sports organizations,” Choudhury added. 

Rounding out the management team are Ted Cardwell, who has been appointed general manager and Auburn-native Adrian Oliver as assistant general manager. 

“Our Wild Wing Cafe in Columbus, Georgia is a great representation of our brand, so when Sanjay and his team wanted to open a new location in nearby Opelika, we were thrilled with the news,” said Tom Lewison, Chief Executive Officer at Wild Wing Cafe. “We're so excited to open our first location in Alabama and can't wait for the Opelika and Auburn community to be able to enjoy everything the Wing has to offer,” he added. 

To celebrate, a Grand Opening will take place on opening day Oct. 6 at 5:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy free samplings, entertainment, and giveaways. The band line-up scheduled to play includes Dana Thomas at 5:30 p.m., and GP38 at 9:30 p.m.
